CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
As our National Lottery funding year draws to a close, we want to send a massive thank you to them for their incredible support. This funding has allowed us to move the 'Shed' forward by upgrading our tools and equipment, making the workshop more efficient than ever.
Beyond the hardware, the funding has made the Shed an even more sociable and healthy venue. By installing modern dust extraction units and dedicated machine vacuums, we’ve significantly improved our air quality, ensuring our members can create in a clean, safe environment.

However, we aim to move forward helping our membership grow and to provide the social and wellbeing support that we are becoming well known for.
Looking Ahead: Community & Wellbeing
As we move into the next chapter, we are focused on sustainability and expanding our reach. Our goals for the coming year include:
-
Local Partnerships: Reaching out to the local business community to explore ways to offset our day-to-day running costs.
-
Wellbeing Grants: Applying for funding to offer subsidised places at our workshop. We want to ensure that those in need of a creative, supportive environment can access our services regardless of their financial situation.

A Special Shout-Out
To kick things off, we would like to give
a huge THANK YOU to Maxwells DIY (Jarrow)!
Their fantastic donation of hand tools, sandpaper, glues, and fixings—along with their continued support in providing wooden offcuts for our smaller projects—is a massive boost for us. Our members are already eager to put these materials to use, and we can’t wait to see the beautiful wooden art pieces that will emerge from the workshop to delight our community.
