The TCWS is aimed at all in the community over the age of 30 to come along and knock together some bits of wood, have a chat and a cuppa, make friends and have a bit of a laugh as well!

We are based in Perth Green Community Centre in Jarrow and have excellent facilities ( and also access to the centers cafe, which can come in handy!). Our woodwork room has a very good array of woodworking equipment including (but not limited to) Pillar Drills, Table Saw, Mitre saw, Band saw(s),Woodwork Lathe (and also specialist 'Pen Blank Lathe') bench sander, fretsaws, mortice machine, router table, grinders and sharpens and a whole host of hand tools including electric and air pressure devices.

As a community 'service' the club is run as a  non profit organisation with any money made/donated going to pay the overheads (rent etc) of the club and also to pay for replacement tools/band saw blades etc.

We welcome any donations from the public and if you are a builder, carpenter, wood yard etc we will gladly accept any off cuts / left over wood, that is no longer needed. Even small pieces of wood can be useful!  Please contact us to discuss collection/delivery
